PROSPECTUS
The project envisions the creation of the front panel of a drawer for the Genius Loci Line by Valcucine in collaboration with Murano glassmakers. Inspiration is drawn from the glass's ability to alter images overlaid upon it and its affinity with the surface of the sea, a defining element of the city of Murano.
The composition consists of a bottom layer of colored glass rods, cut to size from various manufacturing scraps, overlaid with a wavy transparent glass sheet.
The two sheets will be fused together through glass fusion.
The resulting effect resembles the distortion created by ocean waves,
a characteristic element of the city of Murano.
